Machine Shop

Bayou City Pump's full service machine shop is staffed by machinists with over 150 years collective experience. The shop specializes in heavy industrial machining of parts up to 20,000 pounds.

Machine shop capabilities include milling, boring, keyways, shaft machining, repair and removal, shaft insertion, rough and finish machining on flanges and other large industrial materials. We machine exotic metals such as Alloy 20 and Inconel.

Machine Shop Equipment

• Multiple horizontal boring mills including 5" G & L vertical travel and 108" cross travel, 144" longitudinal travel with digital readout/position indicator
• Vertical boring mills-42", 52" and 72" King (large turning)
• Multiple lathes including Monarch 34" swing with 25' center

• Stewart Warner dynamic balancer 500#
• Mitts and Merrill keyseater #3
• Bridgeport milling machine with digital readout/position indicator
• Kearny and Treaker vertical milling machine
• Hannifan shaft straightening press (35 ton)
